Mieke Eissens
Voyage of discovery to Africa

Mieke, a 54 year old autistic woman, lives and Works in Appingedam.
She attends the art studio “NOVO Appingedam” since 1998, for two days a week.
Mieke’s paintings mostly are figurative. At the moment she likes to work with permanent markers. She gets inspired by images from her youth, holidays, etc.
Which means all paintings show her own experiences.
Mieke attend a lot of exhibitions inland and abroad.

Her painting for the theme ‘Water’ show explorers on their way to Africa.
