Herman (1943, Nijmegen) is a quiet man who expresses himself with small signs. He started his career in a copper-foundry and a shoe factory, where he worked for many years.
His passion for art showed since his youth. He especially liked modelling of art. At art studio “Matisse”, where he works since 1995, he prefers drawing and painting.
With a bit of doubt, he searches for the right shapes and colours. He thinks about every step he has to take during the whole process. Impressionism made him less careful with painting. He finds a lot of inspiration in nature, which expresses in his paintings with birds. Since a few months, he is fascinated by sailboats at sea.
