Randa, 15, from the UK attends the Rashid Paediatric Centre since she moved here with her family in 2006. In her leisure time, Randa loves to play music and art. It is only recently she has shown a real interest in painting; before that she would draw in her diary every night. In painting, Randa enjoys a sort of freedom as it allows her to be in control - a rare thing when you have a disability. Randa is free-spirited and open-minded, which is expressed in her work. When painting, she goes with the flow. Mostly she paints abstract, which she calls her ‘time machine’, but she also loves to paint flowers and butterflies. Randa associates water with life, rain, and under the sea.
